Recording means listening to what you want to convey and finding a way to capture it in a performance you feel comfortable with.
I’m Jose María Fernández. At my studio, I work with voices, instruments and small ensembles, with direct communication and time to prepare each take. It’s an acoustically treated 18 m² space designed for close collaboration and attention to detail.
My approach to music is eclectic, with a particular affinity for rock, jazz, folk, film scores and experimental music. I enjoy exploring sounds and supporting people who are finding their own way to express themselves.

We can work on microphone placement, try different performances and listen together to what works best. If you’d like that input, I can also contribute ideas on arrangements, instrumentation and composition.
The studio is intended for voices, instruments and small bands. I don’t record acoustic drum kits. If your project includes drums, we can discuss working with existing recordings or programmed drums.
Before booking a session, we discuss how many of you there are, which instruments you want to record and how you’d like to approach it. This lets us check whether the space and equipment suit your project and agree on the work, quote and deliverables.
I value preparation and commitment, with room to experiment, make mistakes, share ideas and have a laugh along the way.
Tell me what you’d like to record, and let’s plan it together.
